Wedding – Pam
Posted in Weddings on August 30th, 2010
Despite half-expecting August to be a low season, I still found myself still occupied with a few wedding makeups. Corresponded with Pam just more than a week before her wedding. As Pam was in Australia at the time, we mainly exchanged emails and photos to help understand each other’s expectations better. To suit the tiara she brought, Pam chose a half updo hairstyle.

Wedding – Lu Li
Posted in Weddings on August 26th, 2010
The night before their wedding was my first meeting with Sung Ming and his wife Lu Li at the 39th floor of Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Based in Shanghai, Sung Ming is a hearty man with generous laughter while Lu Li a gorgeous and amicable lady – both of whom I felt more like friends than clients in brief moments.
An avid photographer himself, Sung Ming is the only groom I have encountered so far who got himself busy with camera during the bridal makeup session, with his friend, David Phan. I am also very grateful and touched by the fact that Sung Ming contacted me after he has returned to Shanghai just days after the wedding to send me the photos. We have actually gone through a Skype session where he showed me his wedding pictures and let me to select the ones I would like to.
I shall not neglect the bride either. As Lu Li has chosen two very elegant cheongsams for morning and evening session, I gave her a neat classic bun for hair on both occasions, with variations of flower and crystal hair accessories. While the morning makeup tends to be more natural, the evening look with slight winged liner fuchsia red lips created a more stylish yet oriental look.
The following pictures are of course courtesy of Sung Ming and his friend David.
Last but not least, my heartfelt congratulations to Sung Ming and Lu Li!

Wedding – Agnes

One of the great joys of doing bridal makeup is that you get to work on the happiest day of a person’s life. Not to mention that it is also the day she looks her best, like Agnes in the picture above.
Like many of the brides who came to me, Agnes wanted to have minimal and natural makeup with a classic messy bun. The result is an elegant, glowing and radiantly happy bride.
More of her wedding day pictures here.

Wedding – Ly Tan

It’s been a real pleasure for me to be the makeup artist for Ly Tan on her wedding day. I did a natural and clean makeup for her, and topped it up with a small tiara to match her fringe and create a princess-like look.

Wedding – Evelyn

Two months ago, I received a phone call from Evelyn all the way from Australia for my makeup service on her wedding day in Singapore. Everything went smoothly and we met up for a trial session one week before the actual event. I was then struck by Evelyn’s joyful personality and we hit off well immediately.

For the day makeup, Evelyn had requested a look that is natural, healthy and alluring, complementing the environment of the ceremony which took place at Bollywood Veggies. Instead of a veil, Evelyn chose to don a fascinator with netting across the face.
For the evening reception, Evelyn picked a sexy, glamourous and womanly look.

Photography by Sami B, the prettiest photographer I have met! More photos can be seen in Sami’s blog.
Congratulations Adam and Evelyn!

Had two wonderful clients today. First, Phauleen gave me an angpow in the morning after her ROM makeup and hairstyling. And later in the afternoon, I got a lovely box of chocolate from Helen today as I finished her ROM makeup and hairstyling. She has even followed up with a thank you email just hours ago. These gestures really touched me from the bottom of my heart.
Thanks! You girls have just made my day!

ROM – Yolande

Yolande and her husband chose to have their solemnization party at a very unique venue last weekend – the Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub at Marina Square. It was an honor for me to be the makeup artist for her and her mum.
