Dear brides-to-be, congratulations on your wedding! Looking for your bridal makeup artist for the big day can be a daunting experience. If you could some extra time and effort into your wedding makeup and hairstyling planning, it will go a long way to ensure a great overall actual day experience. How you will look in your wedding day images, videos and memories depends a lot on this major decision you are about to make.

Engaging my service begins with enquiry via email or phone. If I am available, a 50% deposit would be required to secure the date. I will conduct a full trial session at our studio, one or two months before your wedding day. Making you look beautiful is a must, but making you feel beautiful is my priority. For full day wedding (morning & evening), I only serve one bride exclusively (per makeup artist), because you deserve all the attention and care.

What kinds of products do you use?

How long will bridal makeup session take?

How many brides will you do in one day?

Usually Jovie only takes booking for one bride if it is a full day wedding (morning and evening). If it is a half day wedding, e.g. wedding lunch or wedding dinner, Jovie might take one for each session. There have been stories of make up artist who might do 2 or even 3 brides consecutively in the morning. Their brides sometimes have to make last minute changes to fit makeup artist's schedule. Jovie accommodates jer timing to suit the bride's schedule instead. No rushing required 🙂

Do I need to pay for faux eyelashes?

There will be no additional charges for false eyelashes. We provide false eyelashes during the trial session too. If you need to use additional pairs of lashes, there will be no extra charge too. This is just an added “bonus” we like to include with all our makeup applications. Forgoing lashes doesn’t change the price. We believe even the most natural false lash can really add something to the makeup. It’s the best way to create a bit of attention at the eyes without the overuse of eye shadow. In fact EVERY bride featured on this website is wearing some sort of false lash whether it be a full strip, individual lashes or lash extensions. With the proper application and lash choice for your features, no one has to know you’re wearing false lashes.

Do I need to use ampoule ?

I just want a really natural makeup look, does that cost less?

No, it is the same price for a “natural” makeup look as it is for something more “dramatic”. In actuality most people are surprised how much makeup goes into that “natural” look. In fact, it’s actually harder to make someone still stand out and eye catching in pictures but also retain a natural makeup look. A sign of a talented makeup artist is how well they can apply a “natural” makeup effect. Also it’s important to remember you are not just paying for the product the artist is using but also their time, skill and experience.

What is included in a bridal trial session?

The session includes quick consultation, skin and hair condition analysis, recommendations, and custom makeup with foundation, highlight & contour, eyebrow shaping, eye shape adjustment, eye makeup, false lashes, lip color, etc. and hairstyles. During the trial session, we will try out the makeup look and hairstyling. Usually we will do 2 sets of hair styling so that you will know which hairstyle look best for you. So a trial session will always take about 3 hrs.

Can I book a trial on a weekend?
